The State Agency for Deposit Insurance and Bank Rehabilitation (the Agency) from 01.01.2010 now insures the deposits of business entities pursuant to the Act on Deposit Insurance (Official Gazette no. 177/04) and the Act on Amendments and Supplements to the Act on Deposit Insurance (OG no. 119/08).
The following deposits are included in the system of insurance:
- Funds in kunas or a foreign currency deposit on the basis of a monetary deposit contract
- Funds in the business account of a legal person or trade.
The amount of deposit insured is 400,000.00 kunas and it is calculated as the total amount of deposit of the business entity in one bank
