Božo Prka

Since February 1998 Mr. Prka has been appointed President of the Management Board of Privredna Banka Zagreb.
In the past he served in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Croatia (from 1992 until 1997) and held the position of Minister of Finance of the Republic of Croatia – for three years (from 1994 until 1997), and before that he was Deputy Minister of Finance.
Mr. Prka has also been a member of the Croatian National Competitiveness Council since its foundation in 2002.
During his ministerial term of office, Mr. Prka received in 1996 the award for Finance Minister of the Year from the CENTRAL EUROPEAN MAGAZINE.
In his capacity as President of the Management Board of PBZ, in 2003 Mr. Prka received the award for the Banker of the Year in the South East Europe, awarded by the FINANCE CENTRAL EUROPE magazine, and was again named by the FINANCE CENTRAL EUROPE as the Banker of the Year in Croatia for 2006.
Mr. Božo Prka graduated in 1982 with a B.Sc. degree in Economics & Foreign Trade from the University of Zagreb, and in 1996 he received his M. Sc. degree in Economics, also from the University of Zagreb.
