PBZ Croatia's Best Retail Bank and for ESG

Zagreb, July 17, 2026 – Privredna banka Zagreb (PBZ), part of Intesa Sanpaolo's International Banks Division, has received two prestigious recognitions at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026: Croatia's Best Retail Bank and Croatia's Best Bank for ESG.
For more than 30 years, Euromoney's Awards for Excellence have recognised financial institutions that set the global standard in performance, innovation and client impact. They are widely regarded as among the banking industry's most prestigious international awards.

These recognitions reaffirm PBZ's position as one of Croatia's leading banks, reflecting its focus on innovation, customer experience and sustainable growth.
The awards were accepted on behalf of PBZ at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence ceremony in London by Andrea Pavlović, Member of the Management Board and Jadranka Primorac, Adviser to the Management Bord, with the presence of Natascia Noveri, Head of Retail and Wealth Management of Intesa Sanpaolo’s International Banks Division.

In addition to PBZ in Croatia, other banks within Intesa Sanpaolo's International Banks Division received prestigious Euromoney Awards for Excellence. In particular Banca IntesaBeograd was recognised as “Serbia’s Best Bank”, AlexBank as “Egypt’s Best Retail Bank”, and CIB Bank as “Hungary’s Best for Mortgages/Home Loans”. This year's winners also include IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo, which was named the Best Investment Bank in Italy.
