Vinkovci/Zagreb, December 15, 2022 – PBZ Group, part of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, made its 67th donation, as a part of its humanitarian project "Doing Good Deeds Every Day" and Visa Card with a Heart. On the occasion of the holidays, the representatives of PBZ Group presented to the Vinkovci General County Hospital the donation in the amount of HRK 476,030.25, which has enabled the purchase of various medical equipment for the Department of Paediatrics and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. This equipment is necessary for the most successful treatment and rehabilitation of the children exposed to neurological risks. The donation was realized in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and is a part of providing aid to the project "Monitoring children exposed to neurological risks", as a part of which the PBZ Group has already granted 36 donations to paediatric departments and children's hospitals throughout Croatia, enabling the purchase of medical devices for the treatment of small patients.
"With its valuable donation, PBZ Group made these holidays really special for children exposed to neurological risks, but also for the employees of our hospital. We used the donated funds to raise the standard of treatment at the Department of Paediatrics by purchasing children's beds, infusomats, perfusors and devices for measuring the concentration of oxygen in the blood, the so-called pulse oximeters, which will significantly contribute to a higher level of quality and safety in the treatment of the smallest patients. The second part of the donation was spent on the purchase of equipment for the re/habitation of children with neurological risks, which is carried out as part of comprehensive care in collaboration with paediatricians-neurologists, physiatrists, psychologists and speech therapists and other professional staff, for the purpose of treatment and the best possible training of such children, not only for the children of our hospital patients, but also for all the needy children of our county and beyond. With this valuable donation, we will ensure that our children and their parents can receive top-quality treatment as close as possible to their homes and that they no longer have to seek professional help in other counties. Once again, I would like to thank PBZ Group for this extremely valuable donation", said Krunoslav Šporčić PhD, MD, the director of the Vinkovci General County Hospital.
"We are happy that with our Visa card we are with heart and the long-term humanitarian project "Doing Good Deeds Every Day", we have also helped the General County Hospital Vinkovci by donating various medical equipment for the treatment of its smallest patients. Throughout the year, we work intensively on this project, continuously allocating new funds to help children and young people and handing over new donations to hospitals and children's homes. We are especially pleased when with a donation, such as this medical equipment, we can brighten up the holidays for little patients, their parents and hospital staff", said Hrvoje Galić, director of the Region for SME, Privredna banka Zagreb, when handing over the donation.
The donation to the Vinkovci General County Hospital is a part of the socially responsible business project of the PBZ Group, a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, which the Group has been implementing for fourteen years under the name "Doing Good Deeds Every Day". Through this project, PBZ Group supports national, long-term projects for the welfare of children and young people and other persons in need of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy, setting aside one HRK for each transaction made with a Visa card with a Heart, at no additional cost for card holders.
