PBZ Group donated more than 30,000 Euro

Pula/Zagreb, November 7, 2023 – PBZ Group, a part of Intesa Sanpaolo Group has, as a part of its humanitarian project „Doing Good Every Day“ and Visa Card with a Heart realised its 76th donation. With this donation amounting to € 30,982.31, the PBZ group has enabled the purchase of a digital aEEG and uroflowmeter for the Department of Paediatrics of the Pula General Hospital. This donation was realized in cooperation with the Ministry of Health as s part of providing aid within its project "Monitoring of Children Exposed to Neurorisks", as part of which the Group has so far delivered 40 donations to paediatric departments and children's hospitals throughout Croatia. The donation was presented on behalf of PBZ Grupa by Nikica Floreano, Chief Client Relations Manager, PBZ’s Business centre for small and medium-sized enterprises.

"This valuable donation has enabled us to purchase a digital aEEG and uroflowmeter. A digital aEEG device is used to monitor brain function over a longer period of time than a traditional EEG, usually several hours to days. Its use is completely simple, non-invasive and painless for patients; therefore, it is particularly useful in neonatology. On the other hand, urine flow or micciometry is a test that we use in the treatment of children with urinary disorders, which make up more than 40% of clinical visits in the nephrology clinic, and are very common especially in children exposed to neuro-risk. Both devices are extremely valuable to us from the point of view of the most important medical approach, which is the establishment of a timely diagnosis and the provision of appropriate treatment," said Vlasta Kocijančić, MD, Head of the Department of Paediatrics of the Pula General Hospital. 

The donation to the Pula General Hospital is part of the socially responsible business project of the PBZ Group, a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, which the Group has been implementing for already fifteen years under the name "Doing Good Every Day." Through this project, PBZ Group supports national, long-term projects for the benefit of children and young people and other people in need launched by Ministry of Health and Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy, setting aside, for each transaction made by Visa card with a heart, 10 cents, at no additional cost to card users. So far, PBZ Group has granted € 4.3 million for the project “Doing Good Every Day” and realised 76 donations, including hospitals and social care homes throughout Croatia.
