PBZ Group donated HRK 430,000 to GH Bjelovar

Bjelovar/Zagreb, June 1, 2021 – With the donation, which was realised as a part of her humanitarian project "Doing Good Every Day", PBZ Group, part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, enabled the purchase of ultrasound colour Doppler device and the table for resuscitation and heat therapy of new-borns for the Department of Paediatrics and Maternity Ward of the General Hospital Bjelovar. The new devices with a total value of HRK 430,000 will enable better diagnostics and treatment of the children exposed to neurological risks and generally improve the health care of young patients in Bjelovar-Bilogora County.
"On behalf of the GH Bjelovar and my own behalf, I sincerely thank the PBZ Group for their selfless help and donation of the funds that have enabled us to purchase an ultrasound device for the Department of Paediatrics and a resuscitation table to be used at the Maternity Ward for Neonatology. This donation will raise the standard of health care in our hospital and provide children with special needs with quality and safe diagnostic treatment for early detection of the disease, which is important for the treatment commencement.  Once again, I want to thank our donor, PBZ Group, from the bottom of my heart for this noble act and help, which confirms that there are still those who help the system with heart and soul, showing their humanity and solidarity in providing help to those in need", said prim. The donation to the Bjelovar General Hospital is part of the PBZ Group's socially responsible business project called "Doing Good Every Day" through which the Group has been providing support to projects for the benefit of children and youth for more than twelve years. 
"I am sure that this donation went into the right hands and that it will be of great help to the General Hospital in Bjelovar, staff, parents and small patients of the city of Bjelovar and the entire Bjelovar-Bilogora County. This is the 57th donation we have granted as a part of the "Doing Good Every Day" project, thus enabling the purchase of various equipment for paediatric wards and children's hospitals and children's homes throughout our country, in our desire to help those who need support the most, the children who are our future and who we need to take special care of. As a part of this project, we have equipped the paediatric wards of eight of our hospitals with modern ultrasound devices, from Slavonski Brod, Koprivnica, Požega and Vukovar to the Merkur Clinical Hospital, CHC Zagreb and the Special Hospital for the Protection of Children with Neurodevelopmental and Motor Disorders in Zagreb's Goljak and, now, Hospital in Bjelovar", said Mislav Blažić, President of the Management Board of PBZ Card. 

Through the Project “Doing Good Every Day”, PBZ Group provides to national projects for the benefit of children and young people: "Monitoring the Children Exposed to Neurological Risks” initiated by the Ministry of Health and “For a Better Life for Children in Social Care Homes” initiated by the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy and meets the actual needs of our community in a way that for every transaction made with Visa Card with a Heart it donates one Croatian Kuna, without additional cost for its users. The group has so far raised more than HRK 24 million and made a total of 57 donations, including children's hospitals and paediatric wards and social care homes throughout Croatia.
