Zagreb, 24 April 2026 - Privredna banka Zagreb (PBZ), part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, has arranged its 16th minibond issue.
As the sole issue agent and investor, PBZ has supported the company Rudan d.o.o. in its first step into the capital markets through the issuance of the minibond in a total nominal amount of EUR 10 million. Rudan will use the raised funds to develop projects in the field of energy efficiency.
The minibond subscription agreement was signed by Paolo Musso, Advisor to the President of the Management Board of PBZ and candidate for Member of the Management Board responsible for the Corporate and SME area and Diego Marot, Regional Director at PBZ, as well as Danijel Benčić, President of the Management Board of Rudan, and Goran Fabris, Member of the Management Board of Rudan.
The bonds mature in April 2033, with semi-annual interest payments. The grace period on principal repayment is two years.
Paolo Musso, Advisor to the President of the Management Board of PBZ and candidate for Member of the Management Board responsible for the Corporate and SME area , stated: “During my time at Intesa Sanpaolo, since 2016 when the initiative to finance small and medium-sized enterprises through minibond issuances was introduced in Italy, I have participated in numerous issuances. The interest of Italian companies in this form of financing over the past decade has been exceptionally high. I am very pleased to have joined PBZ at the beginning of the year, a bank that was the first within the International Banks Division of Intesa Sanpaolo to introduce the Minibond initiative to the Croatian and Slovenian markets. To this date, we have completed 16 minibond issuances for issuers from Croatia and Slovenia, totaling EUR 91 million. PBZ intends to continue supporting high-quality companies with clearly defined development strategies in accessing the capital market through this financing model. We see minibonds as an important first step on that path. We are also pleased that Intesa Sanpaolo Group banks in Slovakia and Serbia are active in this segment, and over the past year and a half this has enabled Intesa Sanpaolo Group's International Banks Division financing in the total amount of almost 150 million EUR, primarily for the development of the SME segment”.
Danijel Benčić, President of the Management Board of Rudan: “It is our great pleasure to have issued our first minibond. We would like to thank PBZ and its teams in Rijeka and Zagreb for their support, which enabled this important step toward capital market financing. We are pleased to have joined leading Croatian companies from the SME segment that have been financed through PBZ minibonds. During the process, we also gained additional knowledge and experience regarding the opportunities offered by the capital market, which will certainly benefit us in our further development. As a company that deeply believes in the need to implement a long-term sustainable energy transition and that demonstrates this commitment through concrete examples and numerous completed projects, we will primarily direct these funds toward the development of future green projects. Their final realization will be significantly faster and easier precisely thanks to PBZ’s support and the use of this financing model. We believe this is one of those key, pivotal moments that will shape and guide more than 30 years of Rudan’s existence and operations toward a new, challenging, yet sustainable and renewable future, and we sincerely look forward to every step along that path.
