Zagreb, 13 February 2024 – Privredna banka Zagreb (PBZ), member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, handed over a donation for the Caritas Croatia programme For 1000 Joys – On the side of the good in the amount of EUR 40,000. It is the traditional national programme of Caritas Croatia “For 1000 Joys” through which aid has been collected for the poorest families throughout Croatia for many years, and this year the charity activity called On the side of the good is being carried out.
“Privredna banka Zagreb has been participating in ‘For 1000 Joys’ of Caritas Croatia from the very beginning of its implementation, as one of the companies initiating changes in the field of corporate social responsibility, helping those in need throughout the country. We have always tried to participate in positive changes in society, helping those who need help the most.  We are very happy to have been able to contribute to Caritas Croatia’s noble programme this year. We believe that specific and responsible action in society is of great importance, especially when it comes to families in need. PBZ Group is recognised by the public as a leading donor in the country and stands out for its  unique charity project Doing good every day, that has been continuously helping the community for 15 years”, said Dinko Lucić, President of the Management Board of PBZ, on the occasion of presenting a donation to friar Tomislav Glavnik, Director of Caritas Croatia.

“We understand how difficult it can be for families in Croatia to cope with poverty, diseases and exclusion on a daily basis. That's why we at Caritas Croatia are dedicated to providing actual assistance to these families through our national programme 'For 1000 Joys'. We are happy to be able to cheer up and encourage many families with the gifts of many generous supporters through the Caritas network, bringing the light of hope into their daily struggles. We would like to express our gratitude to Privredna banka Zagreb for their unwavering support for over twenty years. We are grateful for their recent donation and other forms of assistance they have provided in the past. On behalf of those in our community who are most vulnerable, we say thank you. We believe that there is a place for everyone in the service of helping our neighbours and that we are all on the same task, each in our own specific way.
