PBZ Group donated more than € 66,000

Karlovac/Zagreb, April 3, 2023 - PBZ Group, a member of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, as a part of its humanitarian project "Doing Good Every Day" and Visa card with heart, made its 69th donation. The representatives of the PBZ Group: Mislav Blažić, President of the Management Board of PBZ Card, Višnja Trivunić, Regional Director, Population Affairs of PBZ, and Mladenka Dubravac, Public Relations Chief Coordinator of PBZ Card, presented to the Karlovac General Hospital a donation in the amount of € 66,356.22, which has enabled the purchase of modern ultrasound devices, phototherapy lamps and other equipment for the Department of Neonatology. It is equipment intended for the treatment of neuro-risk children. The donation was realized in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and is a part of the support for the project "Monitoring children with neurorisks", as a part of which the PBZ group has so far made 38 donations to paediatric departments and children's hospitals throughout Croatia.

"I want to express my gratitude to Privredna banka Zagreb and PBZ Card for this commendable donation of an ultrasound device, phototherapy lamps and other medical equipment intended for our little patients. In the maternity hospital in Karlovac, we take care of eight hundred new-borns every year, and with this modern medical equipment, we shall be able to raise the level of care to a higher level. The ultrasound device is also intended for further monitoring of neuro-risk infants by neuropediatricians, and it also has a probe for diagnosing and monitoring congenital heart defects. With this donation, the employees of the Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology will provide appropriate care to the most sensitive population - neuro-risk children and enable better realization of their potential", said Žaklina Spudić, MD, specialist in paediatrics, Head of the Department of Neonatology, GH Karlovac.

Although, as the title of this project says, through it we help the community every day, I am especially happy that with this donation we brightened up the Easter holidays for employees of the Karlovac hospital and their small patients", said Mislav Blažić, President of the Management Board of PBZ Card. 

The donation to Karlovac General Hospital is a part of the socially responsible business project of the PBZ Group, a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, which the Group has been implementing for fifteen years under the name "Doing Good Every Day." Through this project, the PBZ group supports national, long-term projects for the welfare of children and young people and other persons in need of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy, setting aside 10 cents for each transaction made with a Visa card with a heart, at no additional cost for card users. So far, the PBZ Group has donated more than 4.1 million euros for the project "Doing Good Every Day" and realized 69 donations, including hospitals and social welfare homes throughout Croatia.
