PBZ Group presented the 80th donation

Portable incubator with vital functions monitor and resuscitation table will provide better health care for small patients at the Department of Paediatrics of the General County Hospital Pakrac

Pakrac/Zagreb, December 19, 2023 – PBZ Group, a part of Intesa Sanpaolo Group has, as a part of its humanitarian project “Doing Good Every Day“ and Visa Card with a Heart realised its 80th donation. With the donation amounting to EUR 49,750 the PBZ Group has enabled the purchase of a portable incubator with a vital functions monitor and a resuscitation table for the Department of Paediatrics of the General County Hospital Pakrac and the Croatian Veterans Hospital. This donation was realized in cooperation with the Ministry of Health as s part of providing aid within its project "Monitoring of Children Exposed to Neurorisks", as part of which the Group has so far delivered
43 donations to paediatric departments and children's hospitals throughout Croatia. The donation, on behalf of the PBZ Group was presented by Mario Lončar, Director of the PBZ Centre for small and medium enterprises and Mladenka Dubravac, Chief Public Relations Coordinator at PBZ Card.
"With this valuable donation, the purchase of a modern transport incubator, a resuscitation table, a monitor of vital functions and a portable pulse oximeter was made possible for the Department of Paediatrics of the General County Hospital of Pakrac and the Hospital of Croatian Veterans. The quality of providing health services to the youngest has been raised to the level of modern European medicine, and all this for the benefit of children and young people in the Republic of Croatia. The resuscitation table together with the vital functions monitor and pulse oximeter will enable us to provide more modern and high-quality medical care for vitally endangered children, where we place special emphasis on resuscitation and measuring the vital functions of the newborn children. Considering the poor transport connection, the wear and tear of the existing medical equipment, bearing in mind the high proportion of births compared to hospitals in the region, the new transport incubator will enable reliable and safe transport of vitally endangered children to institutions of higher rank“, said Marina Major, Head of the Pakrac County General Hospital and Croatian Veterans Hospital.

„We are really glad that, with this donation, we have brightened up the Christmas season for the little patients of the Paediatrics Department of the Pakrac Hospital, their parents and the Hospital's employees. Although through our project with the significant name "Doing Good Every Day" we actively contribute to the community throughout the year, by donating the necessary equipment to children's departments of hospitals and homes for children and young people throughout our country, we are especially happy when we have the opportunity to do this during the holidays, which awaken and reinforce our need to help and sympathize with others“, said Mario Lončar, Director of the PBZ Centre for small and medium enterprises.

The donation to the Department of Paediatrics of the General County Hospital Pakrac and the Croatian Veterans Hospital is a part of the socially responsible business project of the PBZ Group, a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, which the Group has been implementing for already fifteen years under the name "Doing Good Every Day." Through this project, PBZ Group supports national, long-term projects for the benefit of children and young people and other people in need launched by Ministry of Health and Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy, setting aside, for each transaction made by Visa card with a heart, 10 cents, at no additional cost to card users. So far, PBZ Group has granted around € 4.5 million for the project “Doing Good Every Day” and realised 80 donations, including hospitals and social care homes throughout Croatia.
