PBZ donated nearly €30,000 to Svitanje

Koprivnica, October 24, 2023 – The Koprivnica Centre for the provision of services in the Svitanje community received a donation in the amount of € 27,469.85 with which it has built and equipped a children's playground, procured furniture for two residential communities of organized housing and the necessary didactic material. This is the 75th donation granted by PBZ group, a member of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, within its humanitarian project „Doing Good Every Day“ and Visa Card with a Heart, through which it supports projects for the benefit of children and young people. In order to ensure a better future and achieve positive changes in our community, as a part of this project alone, the Group has donated EUR 4.4 million and granted 74 donations to the paediatric departments and children's homes throughout Croatia. Branimir Čosić, regional director at Privredna banka Zagreb, presented the donation on behalf of the PBZ group. 

"Thanks to this valuable donation, a children's playground was built and equipped for children of primary school age, to whom we provide the social service of a half-day stay in Đurđevac. Also, the donation of the PBZ Group enabled us to purchase furniture and equip two studios where organized housing services are provided with occasional support. Young adults are accommodated in studio apartments, and a well-decorated and equipped space will significantly improve their quality of life. We provide half-day stay services in three locations and in two counties - in the cities of Koprivnica, Đurđevac and Ludbreg, and thanks to this donation, we have acquired useful didactic materials for the beneficiaries of this service. We would like to thank PBZ Group, the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy and everyone who participated in the realization of this very valuable donation for us", said Mladen Fajdetić, director of the Centre for the provision of services in the Svitanje community.  

The Centre for the provision of services in the Svitanje community is an institution that provides fully non-institutional social services for children and young people without adequate parental care and children and young people with behavioural problems – accommodation for children and young people, organized housing with occasional and comprehensive support, psychosocial support, support for foster families and currently provides services for about 60 beneficiaries.
 
Donation to the Centre for the provision of services in the Svitanje community, Koprivnica is a part of the socially responsible business project of PBZ Group, the Intesa Sanpaolo Group member, which the Group has been implementing for fifteen years under the name "DoingGood Every Day". With the funds allocated for this project, the PBZ Group supports national, long-term projects for the benefit of children and young people: "For a better life of children in social care homes" of the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy and the projects "With a heart for children with malignant diseases" and “Let's help those suffering from rare diseases" of the Ministry of Health, setting aside ten cents for each transaction made with a Visa card with a heart, at no additional cost to card users. The Group has, so far, raised EUR 4.4 million and, including the latest one, has granted a total of 75 donations, including hospitals and social care homes throughout Croatia.
