'PBZ for Women Entrepreneurs'

Zagreb, 12 June 2025 - Privredna banka Zagreb (PBZ), part of the Intesa Sanpaolo's International Banks Division, proudly presents its new initiative 'PBZ for Women Entrepreneurs', focused on strengthening female entrepreneurship in the Republic of Croatia.

The goal of this initiative is to promote equality, accessibility, and sustainability in the business environment by providing women entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and resources to develop and enhance their business activities.

As part of the initiative, the Bank has prepared a range of benefits for small and medium-sized women-owned businesses, such as non-purpose working capital loans, long-term investment loans under more favorable terms, promotional offers on transactional banking products related to business accounts, online and digital banking services, cash deposits via the Bank's self-service devices, and cashless payments—with a special focus on business digitalization and more efficient, faster management of day-to-day finances.

The more favorable lending conditions offered to clients under the 'PBZ for Women Entrepreneurs' initiative are the result of PBZ’s cooperation with the EIB Group, utilizing EIB funding to support Croatian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-caps in achieving their ESG goals, as well as through the EIF's InvestEU program, which aims to facilitate access to finance for SMEs.

On the occasion of the campaign launch, Vedrana Jelušić Kašić, Member of the PBZ Management Board, stated:
“It is my pleasure to announce the Bank’s new initiative through which we further support women entrepreneurs, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of our economy. We also thank the EIB Group for recognizing PBZ as a partner in promoting Croatian entrepreneurship, especially in the SME segment. I believe that our support, combined with the expertise, energy, and perseverance that women entrepreneurs undoubtedly possess, will contribute to their growth and business advancement.”

In addition to financial support, we are organizing free educational workshops for women entrepreneurs to help them develop their business competencies, gain knowledge and tools for business management, strategic decision-making, and implemention of innovations. Recognizing that strong support networks are essential for both business and personal growth, we also encourage networking and the exchange of experiences among entrepreneurs and professionals from various fields vital to all stages of business development.

Providing additional support to women entrepreneurs is an investment in the future of the Croatian economy. Through this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering an inclusive and stimulating business environment and society as a whole.
