11.01.2022
In line with our strategy and in order to contribute to the green transition in Croatia, Privredna banka Zagreb d.d., a member of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, in its capacity as the Mandated Lead Arranger, gave strong support for the acquisition of the wind farms #Danilo (44MW) and #Rudine (34MW) located in Croatia on the part of the Croatian investor Professio Energia d.d., by refinancing the existing loans and thus providing a stable platform for long-term operations and further development of renewable energy sources (#RES) in Croatia.
Financing preceded the acquisition of the mentioned wind farms, which were fully taken over from the owners MIROVA EUROFIDEME 3, owned by the French Professional Venture Capital Fund, and an international investor into renewable energy sources seated in Vienna and Madrid, RP GLOBAL, by the Croatian investor Professio Energia d.d., owned by Croatian pension funds PBZ Croatia osiguranje d.d., Erste plavi obvezni mirovinski fond, and Croatia osiguranje d.d., also with long-term financial support of Privredna banka Zagreb d.d.
Financing of this project has been arranged in line with the strategic guidelines of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group and dedication to environmental, social, and governance aspects (#ESG) as well as the Energy Strategy of RoC, guided by the EU objectives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, related to the financing and development of renewable energy projects. Dedication of Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. to this important national and global objective is reflected in the large number of projects of this important sector that have been financially supported thus far.
We are proud that Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. has taken part in the completion of this important transaction, additionally confirming our position in the market as one of the leading banks in the field of #structured finance and financing of #RES projects.
